Hey all of you super awesome blog reading fans!
Do you know how much you mean to me?
Gosh, I'm sure you don't.
So... We should get together for cupcakes sometime.
Okay?
No doubt.
Now, it has been an absurdly exciting week!
This week Food Network's very own Chef Duff Goldman was in
West Michigan, and I was blessed enough to have the opportunity to meet him, get his autograph, and have a slice of Charm City cake!
He was in the area to deliver and present a cake to a fundraiser for Hospice of West Michigan's 30th Birthday!
Shall I please you with a play-by-play?
Step 2:
If you were able to get a red bracelet, get your butt in line! Because you are going to enjoy a meet and greet with Chef Duff!
If you were able to get a red bracelet, get your butt in line! Because you are going to enjoy a meet and greet with Chef Duff!
Step 3:
Await his arrival...
Shut up! There he is!
And he is absolutely as awesome as he seems on the show!
And then....
It is time!
It is time!
It was quite exciting, and we had a wonderful time! And the signing had an awesome turnout, but really, did you expect anything less?
The first two hundred customers/fans to purchase books received the awesome red bracelet. (What up!?) And this guaranteed you a meet and greet/autograph from Senor Duff, himself.
However, after the first two hundred, fans and customers purchasing the book received a blue bracelet.
Which meant that IF and only IF there was time, you too could have the opportunity to meet Chef Duff just like a ll the nice red bracelet people!
I had been looking forward to this book signing for a few months, and you all need to know, I was not disappointed!
The day after the book signing Duff did a presentation and cake reveal, which I attended with my mom. And I am telling you, in person, he is just as charismatic and personable as he is on the show. He was energetic, entertaining, and really funny!
We had a wonderful time Celebrating Hospice of West Michigan's 30th Birthday with Duff and friends!
The cake featured ladybugs, lotus flowers, and butterflies, all symbols commonly associated with Hospices: symbols representing rebirth and freedom.
Thanks to all my blog readers out there for taking time out of your busy schedule to make my day a little better by taking an interest in my random writings!
I hope you are all having a glorious day.
Cupcakes & Kisses,
Paula-Marie
